I received custom holiday cards in exchange for my review. Opinions expressed are my own.
This is a first for me. I had my holiday cards made before Thanksgiving – weeks before Thanksgiving. Well, I must admit, I have this opportunity to review a set of complimentary cards from Adoramapix. The timing is what it is so that you can see how they came out, and if you like what you see, perhaps take advantage of the Adoramapix current deal on holiday cards to save 40%.
Adoramapix Custom Holiday Card Review
I designed my card using the Elegant Blessing greeting on a 5 x 7 flat square on classic linen paper. I chose a picture of the boys that I took outside at my mother’s house. It wasn’t a planned photo either. I was snapping pictures of the foliage, my mother’s “mums” (flowers) and her dog Camie in the window. These two were goofing around and I got them to both smile in this back to back pose.
I liked the back of the card as well. It simply says, “Blessings of the holiday.”
I have been sending Christmas cards out for years now. I always opted for the drugstore photo paper cards. I figured those were the cheapest. Yet, I would receive the occasional 5 x 7 card made out of a nice card stock and was always impressed with the quality – just like I am now with these cards from Adoramapix! These cards are classy and the quality is far better than my old standby – the flimsy photo paper cards. The card stock is linen. Linen is a semi-rough paper that emulates the look of linen cloth with slightly lifted grooves to give a textured feel. That is what you see clearly in the photos. This linen paper stock is heavy weight and is excellent for use in wedding invitations and greeting cards.
The camera flash in my photo of the card exaggerates the linen pattern of the card stock. This gives the photo a grainy appearance. In normal light, the cards looks much better. In fact, I am very happy with these cards – glad I chose the linen stock, happy with my picture and thrilled to have these ready to go before the hustle and bustle of the holidays set in!
