Our oldest daughter is a soccer fan both watching and playing. While she has the heart, her skills need honing and definitely fine-tuning. She has played through our local rec department for a few years now and really wanted to improve her skills to try out for the club leagues. It was with that in mind that we signed her up for British Soccer Camp when it was available in Milwaukee! What was great was that she had her very own "kit" (that's uniform for us US soccer players!) and the option we chose also included a free ball and water bottle - double soccer! We arrived at camp the first day and everything was well laid-out and signed so we knew what to do. The coaches were two soccer players directly from England (yes, they are the British part of the British soccer camp!) and they really took the time to get to know each child. All week, my daughter worked one-on-one and in bigger groups with these coaches and other players - in was amazing to watch her skills grow. She really enjoyed the "olympics" theme and learning about different countries, which added a dimension to the all-day soccer program and allowed her to feel even more engaged. We really loved this camp and look forward to participating again next year!
